SAIT will begin the rollout of Microsoft Office 2016 on April 4th. The rollout will be staged over the course of a few weeks, with segments of the Division of Student Affairs receiving the upgrade each week. This will help SAIT manage the deployment of the software as well as field questions and help requests for departments in a timely manner.
Email: Departments can expect an email one week prior to their scheduled rollout date with details about the upgrade. We will follow up with two additional reminders as the upgrade date gets closer. Computer users will be asked to log off, but not shut down their computers on the night of the upgrade (all upgrades are scheduled for Monday nights). SAIT staff will be available to assist with questions or concerns regarding the software upgrade during the week following the software deployment.
Web: Pages of information will be added to the SAIT website with instructions for setup. You can find resources on our homepage under the Office 2016 box. www.sait.uconn.edu
