Notification: Major Systems Outage

On Saturday, August 17, between 10 p.m. and August 18 6 a.m., Facilities Management is planning to shut off the power to the Storrs campus in order to facilitate an electrical power upgrade.

This outage will result in all Student Affairs technology services being unavailable between 9 p.m. on August 17th and 6:30 a.m. on August 18th.

These services include the following:

  • All line of business applications (e.g., THD, Foodpro, Pyramed, Judicial Action, EMS, Oscars, Eventmaster)
  • All web services
  • All file shares including Q: and R: drives
  • Printing services
  • Desktop computers (including remote desktop access)

In summary, you should not plan to work on computers during this outage.
