Q: What is the university NetID?

A: At UConn, faculty, staff, students, and affiliates receive a unique network identifier (NetID) that is comprised of 3 lower-case letters and 5 numbers. Your NetID remains the same throughout your career at UConn.

Your NetID credentials allow you to log in to a wide variety of computing services at the University of Connecticut, including the Student Administration System, your UConn email account, HuskyCT online course tools, and many other technology resources.

Your NetID is a foundational component of your digital identity at UConn. It is available to the public and can be found on phonebook.uconn.edu. Your NetID password, however, should remain private. Never share your NetID password with anyone.

You can manage your NetID and NetID password at netid.uconn.edu.

 

Q: Will I need to use Duo to log in to my computer?

A: You will not need Duo to log into your physical computer at work. You will need Duo when you log in to your UConn workstation remotely.
